Google Has Launched Its Own Wireless Network Service; Project Fi

Project Fi is Google's long-rumored program to provide fast and easy cellular service directly to phones. It is a "prepaid" carrier, meaning you pay up front for your service in the trailing month, which is the opposite of a traditional carrier that bills you after you use the service. It works by combining access to both T-Mobile and Sprint, with a SIM card that can actively switch between the two without any user intervention.

The Network has started with a fee of $20 a month, of which you will get unlimited calls and texting in your country along with Wireless tethering and International coverage in more than 120 countries.
Google is not launching Project Fi for everyone right now. So, those who are interested can sign up on the Project Fi website and hope to be the lucky one. For now, Project Fi only works on Google's flagship Android phone Nexus 6 and only in the US with a special SIM card, but hopefully it will soon be available for other handsets and in most countries around the world. Google is not building its network of cell phone towers for Project Fi. Instead, it is piggybacking
on the Sprint and T-Mobile LTE networks, which have agreed to carry the traffic for Google’s new project so it only works in the US for now. Moreover, the service enables you to switch seamlessly between cellular and Wi-Fi networks. If, for example, you start a call using Wi-Fi and then move outside, your mobile phone will switch to the regular cellular network without dropping down your call.

Project Fi also works on Computers and Tablets, yes! not only on your mobile devices, but also the service works on your computer and tablet. Project Fi also leans on Wifi, and lets you both call and text when connected to a Wifi network. A special software on the phone also automatically connects the phone to open Wifi networks to help limit your mobile data usage, and when it does so also routes your traffic through a Google VPN for safety and connection stability. Google Hangouts allow you to place calls, send texts and voicemails from your number to any other Hangout-enabled device, no matter what device you are using.
